Reading Glaser’s Discovery of Grounded Theory again – and found a quote on what Glaser thinks qualitative data is (p9).
“…data on structural conditions, consequences, deviances, norms, processes, patterns and systems”
This reminds me firstly a lot of the interdisciplinary framework (Adomssent) I’m intending to use to structure my data somewhat – more on that later as I intend to write a whole post on that.
It made me think about other tools I’ve used to describe systems in the past – causal loop diagrams, mind maps and that these are something I enjoy working with and am really confortable drawing up. Once I get a better handle of how grounded theory works, I’ll look to include these means of communicating into my work.
